Aiken Group has announced the appointment of six directors in a management restructure
aimed at helping to take the company to the next level -
In a bid to facilitate further development of the business, Alex Wood has been promoted to the role of sales and marketing director and Richard Lamb has become operations director. Dave Mair has been announced as business development director, Eric Scott as proposals director, Tommy Smith as engineering director and Christine Bateman as HR director.

In a bid to meet the demands of the rapidly growing company and its expanding customer base, Aiken Group has recruited new people to various roles including administration, finance, HR, draughtspeople, project engineers, HSEQ and QA.

Aiken Marine announce the successful completion of the charter of AWB Ocean 303.
On behalf of UAE clients Control Contracting Trading, Aiken Marine were engaged to facilitate the charter of a suitable AWB for the clients offshore operations in Abu Dhabi.
Aiken Marine presented and secured the services of the AWB Ocean 303 that was mobilised from its Dubai location in June 2013 for a minimum 6 month duration.
Aiken Marine also secured the services of the relevant tugs to carry out vessel manoeuvres around and to and from each platform.
The Great Big Energy Saving Challenge -
Aiken Group Director Norman Mackay and his family recently starred in The Great Big Energy Saving Challenge shown on BBC 2 Thursday 31 st October at 21:00.
Presented by Kate Humble and a BBC Scotland team, Norman and his family were part of a group of six families in Stonehaven challenged to try to cut their home energy consumption by 30 pc in just three weeks.

Ryan Pirie was recently named best third year refrigeration apprentice at the 2013 Tullos Training Awards. Ryan follows in the footsteps of Aiken Group’s Lee Youngson who won the same accolade last year.
Ryan received his award from SEMTA (Sector Skills Council for Science Manufacturing and Technology) National Manager, Scotland, Brian Humphrey during a recent ceremony at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe at Pitfodels.
